Rehabilitation Pilates
What is it?
Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core control, helping to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility and can be a great way to stay in shape without intense loads or impact on joints.
The key elements of pilates are the abc: alignment, breathing and core stability. However all exercises aim to incorporate the following principles: relaxation, concentration, co-ordination, centering, alignment, breathing, stamina and flowing movements.

Pilates also focuses on the mind-body connection - very important in a busy society today! While doing the various exercises your mind needs to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way your body moves.
